My prediction is verified. ^^

Will it snow on the Lantau Peak at dawn this week?

In My discovery,My Fun Stuff on 10/02/2014 by catherineyylam

Most Probably.

1. 11 Feb would be the third consecutive day of low temp due to this winter monsoon.

2. The forecast shows the temperature on 11 Feb would be the lowest during this monsoon.

3. Since the dawn of 10 Feb, the temp at Ngong Ping @600m has been staying at around 2 degree Celsius.  For further uphill, the Lantau Peak is 934m. The 300m altitude difference, plus at open area exposed to wind, further 2 degree temperature difference is possible.

4. The high humidity and rain patches forecasted would become snow at 0 degree.

5.  Another chance may be on 14 Feb.

How snow is formed.

Let’s see………

In My Appreciation,My Fun Stuff on 18/01/2014 by catherineyylam

The villagers are unexpectedly cheerful, friendly and talkative.  The dessert is so delicious and unique.  One of the impressive stuffs is the working table, which is distorted by the chronic hammering action.  The table does not need any pin to connect the woods by unique handicraft.

As the cake is so unique and on demand, I asked them why not expanding the supply in other season.  The answer gained my respect as their concern is quality.  In summer, when the weather is humid, the peanut will spoil which contribute unpleasant smell to the cake.

Such a small piece of cake consists of their memories, tradition, and intelligence.

It is good to know that the villagers accepted the public request and will go on to handmade the cake.

Organic Strawberry Jam

In My Appreciation,My Fun Stuff,My Recipe on 18/01/2014 by catherineyylam

Fresh strawberries were picked in an accredited organic strawberry farm in FanLing.   The air is fresh and people are friendly.

Next morning, the remaining strawberries  started to dry up, so I mashed them at once and made them into jam for preservation.

The recipe adopted resembles the blueberry jam which I tried before.  The only difference is, brown sugar was used instead of the white one.

But I have to say… is better to serve strawberry fresh, while blueberry as jam.

In My Concern,My Fun Stuff on 11/12/2013 by catherineyylam
