This newly built church is just ~10 minutes walk from my home, i discovered it when i jogged by few months ago. Recently, i visited this church intentionally, though it is a traditional one.
The interior design is perfectly stylish and meaningful, as the theme of this Anglican church is on Holy Spirit. I was so attracted by the environment which brings me so close to nature, God’s creation, there is even a small pool at the back creating sound effect which resembles a stream…so refreshing!
Frankly, i attended Anglican Church many times before but this one is different, I sensed the work of the Holy Spirit there. In the past, I could not quite get into the formal & routine way of worship, but this time, i found it did help me to expresss my thoughts to God with my heart, especially, during the time to kneel down and pray together. The sermon, the specific message from God, touched my heart too.
I was so busy to note the details of the ceremony and catch up the flow by finding various booklets/ hymnbooks etc …so happened, Communion was served that day and we should go to the front and kneel down again. Opportunity to kneel in church is quite rare to me, and i really treasure this. When i got back to my seat, I just could recognise the windows in front of me….. is a cross, unexpectedly humble, as Jesus.
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2
